Visit a city

Alkmaar

Alkmaar is known as the cheese city of the Netherlands, but that title only covers part of the load. Because this city in North Holland has much more to offer. There is the beautiful old center with plenty of monuments, nice shopping areas and countless cozy terraces, cafes and restaurants in all price ranges. In addition, it is great shopping, there is the Stedelijk Museum, the Beer Museum, the Beatles Museum and of course the Cheese Museum.
Like so many old cities in the Netherlands, Alkmaar really is a 'canal city'. In the past these were used as waterways, sewers or defenses, but today they are mainly very decorative. In Alkmaar you can therefore take a beautiful cruise through the canals, where you get a beautiful picture of the city.
A nice lunch on a terrace by the water. Extensive dining in a stylish, romantic restaurant, or a quick snack on the go; in Alkmaar there are plenty of options for good food. There are stylish and tasteful restaurants and terraces for every moment, every taste and every budget.

Amsterdam

Visit this world-famous 17th-century capital of the Netherlands. Enjoy the historic buildings, beautiful museums and friendly atmosphere. Take a cruise through the canals, stroll through the Vondelpark and shop in the old town. Amsterdam is unique in its kind! Wander along canals lined with grand buildings and gaze up at the beautiful facades. Avoid the crowds in the Kalverstraat and go shopping in the Nine Streets or go for chic in the PC Hooftstraat. You cover a lot of miles without noticing. Take a rest during a trip on the water, because the view is even more enchanting from a tour boat. A beer in a brown café or a cappuccino on a terrace along the canal or on Leidseplein makes a day in Amsterdam complete.

Den Helder

In the naval city of Den Helder, people live together with the water. Surrounded by the North Sea, the Marsdiep and of course the Wadden Sea, this coastal town in the Noordkop is best known for its lively fish trade and strong naval base. From Den Helder you can easily take the boat for a crossing to the beautiful Wadden island of Texel.
In Den Helder you will not only find the beautiful nature around the Wadden Sea, but also the bustle of the city. A theatre, cinema, art house, restaurants and museums: it is all there.
